An alternative link to the setlist for those interested:

I'm neither here nor there as far as Billy Joel goes but I know he's had a bad press on the forum in the past, so hats off to you, Mr Lobster for your generous acknowledgement. Looks like it was a good night.

Thanks for the "alley ooop" on the setlist. I'm a sucker for big nights. Closing of's, Live aid, ect. I'm not a new yorker but I know Billy Joel is a staple in the big apple. Glad to see he put on a beauty for them.

I see Don Henley made an appearance. he's another one who takes a beating in the forum. Don Felder was on the Stern show last week and basically said Henley and Frey are crazy

During the summer of 95 or 95 mojo nixon was doing a show in dallas and in the middle of "don henley must die" he jumped onstage and began singing along with mojo...and mojo quickly changed the lines to "michael bolton must die"

so for ten plus years I have been thinking that this was a one time event but I see in wikipedia that he did the same thing in austin and the line was changed to "rick astley must die"...go figure...at times this internet can tell you too much...

it still was pretty funny...

Don't tell anyone but I've always really liked the first three Eagles albums - before they got coked up they made some wonderful feelgood music. (And even after they had some good moments.)

Jerry liked the Eagles. Hence the return in '76 as Garcia, Loggins, Messina, and The Eagles.....

(...seriously, i remember reading something about how he was into their "production" style or some such thing....)

I'll never forget that night in the Hamptons when me and Henley were doing blow in the back seat with a couple of 14 year old socialites with Billy J at the wheel - it was damn nice of Sir Elton to post my bail after Billy crashed into the parked Bentley and we got caught with our pants down (literally).

A bottle of red, a bottle of white....

There was a great SNL skit with Billy behind the wheel and a bunch of young girls in the back as he kept crashing his car
